Pay once. Keep it for life.
Kickstarter backers get a lifetime LayerForge licence with lifetime updates. After the campaign it's a subscription, so this is the only time a one-off price is on offer.
Goal £10,000. All or nothing: you're only charged if we hit it.

The Collection, for life

About the CollectionAfter the campaign it's £8/month or £79/year.
The further we get, the more we build
Only the first goal is LayerForge as it is today. Everything after it is new work, and every backer gets all of it.

Backer questions
What does “lifetime” mean?
Backers pay once and keep LayerForge for good, with every update we release, for the life of the product. No subscription, ever, for your tier.
Why is it a subscription on the website later?
After the campaign, new customers pay monthly or yearly. Kickstarter backers are the only people who get a one-off lifetime licence: it's our thank-you for backing it first.
Can I upgrade my tier later?
Yes. You'll be able to move up a tier by paying the difference between the two backer prices.
When will I get the software?
Backers get beta access straight after the campaign ends, and LayerForge 1.0 when it's ready. We'll post updates on the campaign page as we go.
What happens if the campaign doesn't hit its goal?
Kickstarter is all-or-nothing: if we don't reach the goal, nobody is charged.
Is the Collection included?
Workshop, Studio and Farm include months of the Collection. Anyone can add a lifetime Collection licence: £149 for the first 199 backers, then £199.
Does it work on Mac?
LayerForge runs on Windows 10 and 11 today. A Mac version is a stretch goal.
